The Franklin Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider the application for a Variance Request on the 22nd day of June, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Franklin Township House, 6805 St. Rt. 219, Celina. The application, submitted by Doug Ballard, requests a Variance in the set-back requirements for the property located at 5628 Island View Drive, Celina, OH 45822. Section 1127:39 of the Zoning Code requires a set-back of 25'. The applicant is requesting a Variance of 5' 6" in the set-back from the water's edge for the construction of a deck and a Variance of 6' to 13' in the front yard set-back on the angle for the construction of an addition to a garage on the property.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has scheduled local public hearings in Case Nos. 25-958-EL-AIR, 25-959-EL-AAM, 25-960-EL-ATA, 25-961-EL-RDR In the Matter of the Application of The Dayton Power and Light Company d/b/a AES Ohio to Establish a Three- Year Rate Plan for 2027, 2028, and 2029 Pursuant to R.C. 4909.18. In its application, as updated on November 12, 2025, AES Ohio requests to increase its base distribution revenue requirement by $169,815,452 in 2027, a base distribution revenue increase of 34.82 percent; by $41,377,134 in 2028, a base distribution revenue increase of 6.28 percent; and by $26,247,569 in 2029, a base distribution revenue increase of 3.74 percent. After its review of the application and records, the Staff of the Commission recommends an increase to the base distribution revenue requirement of $113,852,400 in 2027, a base distribution revenue increase of 22.84 percent; an increase of $28,385,208 in 2028, a base distribution revenue increase of 4.61 percent; and an increase of $22,273,086 in 2029, a base distribution revenue increase of 3.45 percent. The local hearings are scheduled for the purpose of providing an opportunity for interested members of the public to testify in these proceedings. The local hearings will be held as follows:
(a) Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Planning and Resource Center, Mezzanine Floor, 101 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402.

LIQUID POLYMER
The City of Celina is requesting sealed bids for Liquid Polymer, approximately 18,400 pounds/year, for screw press dewatering of aerobically digested wastewater sludge. Polymer jar testing and performance testing must be completed prior to bidding. The jar testing must be completed by the polymer supplier at the Celina Wastewater Treatment Plant with the assistance of Wastewater Treatment Plant personnel. Following jar testing, polymer suppliers must provide a 5-gallon pail of choice polymer(s) (maximum of two) to be bided to the Celina Wastewater Treatment Plant to allow City personnel to complete performance testing. Pails of polymer must be received no less than FIFTEEN (15) days prior to the bid date.
