Grand Lake fishermen and winter strollers saw six trumpeter swans making their way around the lake’s edge near Lake Shore Drive earlier this week. The birds swam in a straight line following the lead bird breaking through the thin ice cover. By Christmas eve morning, the birds were breakfasting on bread pieces supplied by some of Bella’s retaurant’ staff.
