Esther Grillot

Esther Naomi Grillot, 94, of Versailles, died at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 6, 2004, at Versailles Health Care Center.
   She was born Oct. 4, 1910, in Knightstown, Ind., to Nathanial and Nellie Noggle Burkett. On Nov. 29, 1928, she married Robert L. Grillot who died Nov. 30, 1979.
   Surviving are two sons, John (Ellen) of Versailles and Robert E. (Jeanie) of Covington; a daughter, Mary (Laverne) Homan, Coldwater; a brother, Cecil Burkett, Webster; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a son, David; two sisters, Elsie Grillot and Dorothy Long; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
   A homemaker, she formerly worked at Buckeye Overall Co. and Poultry Producers, both of Versailles. She was a member of the Versailles American Legion Auxiliary.
   Funeral Mass is 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
   Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, has charge of arrangements. There is no visitation.
   Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Shriner's Burn Center.


Wilma Klosterman

Wilma Juanita Klosterman, 81, formerly of North Elm Street, Coldwater, and a current resident of the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, died Nov. 6, 2004, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
   She was born Sept, 11, 1923, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to William and Amelia Bollenbacher Weinmann. On June 17, 1950, she married Urban Klosterman who died June 11, 1988.
   Surviving are four sons, Kenneth of Rockford, Kermit of Wheeling, W. Va., Kraig (Joyce) and Kerry (Becky), all of Coldwater; a sister, Eileen Davis, Rockford; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
   Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.


Robert McGee

Robert E. McGee, 57, 317 W. Forest St., Celina, died at 1:45 a.m. Nov. 6, 2004, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to an apparent heart attack.
   He was born July 22, 1947, in Celina, to Edward and Lucille Harner McGee. On March 2, 1968, he married Sharon Richards who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, Mike (Brenda) of Celina; a daughter, Marsha (Tony) Pitzen, Celina; and a grandchild.
   One grandchild is deceased.
   He retired from the Mercer County Highway Department and also worked at PK Lumber. He was a member of The Lord's Church and a 1966 graduate of Celina High School.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to Mercer County Emergency Medical Services or the church.


Malinda Weigel

Malinda T. Weigel, 92, 505 S. Wayne St., Fort Recovery, died Nov. 7, 2004, at her residence.
   She was born Feb. 4, 1912, in Sharpsburg, to Ben and Mary Vehorn Brunswick. On May 12, 1937, she married Albert H. Weigel who died Oct. 1, 1972,
   Surviving are two sons, Jim, and Tom (Mary), all of Fort Recovery; a daughter, Shirley (Mark) Dues, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Naomi Birkmeyer, Coldwater; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are five brothers, Urban, Leo, Ralph, Elmer and Mark Brunswick, and four sisters, Pauline Wourms, Rose Stammen, Estella Goettemoeller and Lillian Brunswick.
   She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, the Altar Sodality and Daughters of Isabella Circle 810, all of Fort Recovery. She worked at senior citizen card parties in Fort Recovery.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. The Daughters of Isabella will hold a prayer service at 4 p.m. followed by a parish wake service at 7:45 p.m.


Vernon Westerheide

Vernon J. Westerheide, 86, 116 Lakewood Drive, Minster, died at 5:15 p.m. Nov. 5, 2004, at his home.
   He was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Minster, to Raymond and Laura Stueve Westerheide. On Oct. 12, 1939, he married Madge Wise who died Sept. 2, 1999.
   Surviving are three sons, Michael (Lois) of Hampshire, Ill., Dave of New Smyrna, Fla., and V.J. (Marilyn) of Coldwater; five daughters, Madonna (Gary) Meyer, Sidney, Mary (Joe) Berling, Wesley Chapel, Fla., Marge (Gary) Bernard, West Chester, Maxine (Ron) Appenbrink, Naperville, Ill., and Dee (Brian) Monnin, Russia; a brother, Leroy of Minster; three sisters, Norma Sacksteder, Wapakoneta, Rita (Carroll) Grimm, Minster, and Jean Wendelin, Fort Loramie; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are an infant daughter, Kathryn; a brother and two sisters.
   He was a former partner in G & W Tool & Die, Westerheide Subdivision and S & K Products. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Athletic Boosters and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, all of Minster; a charter member and past president of Fort Loramie Kiwanis Club; and a member and past commander of the Minster American Legion Post. He was a director emeritus of First Star Bank (U.S. Bank) and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
   Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with the Minster firing squad conducting military rites.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
