Sarah Giere Sarah Ann Giere, 75, 109 N. Cedar St., Coldwater, died at 8:11 a.m. Dec. 15, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born June 23, 1930, in St. Marys, to Norval and Rosemary Axe Botkin. On April 18, 1953, she married Oliver Giere, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are two sons, Tim (Jeannie) of St. Henry, and Patrick (Janet) of Coldwater; three daughters, Mary Lou (Barry) Himmel, Worthington, and Julia (Gary) Geier and Tonya (Jerry) Happy, all of Coldwater; and 13 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Gerald Botkin; and a sister, Judy Burd.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Society and St. Cecelia Knights of St. John. She was a community hospital volunteer for over 38 years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
