Robert Bower

Robert Bower, 89, of Ohio City, died at 9:46 a.m. Jan. 17, 2006, at a local nursing home.
   He was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Monroeville, Ind., to Ralph J. and Helen Meese Bower. On June 30, 1951, he married Betty Jane Kesterson, who survives.
   Also surviving are two brothers, Paul of Hoaglin, Ind., and Jim of Devine, Texas; and two sisters, Dorothy Faurote, Decatur, Ind., and Bette Eads, Boca Raton, Fla.
   He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and worked at International Harvestor as an office processor until retirement. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans.
   Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
   Arrangements are by Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford.


Dale Clutter

Dale Clutter, 81, 3206 state Route 707, Rockford, died at 4 p.m. Jan. 17, 2006, at Briarwood Manor, Coldwater.
   He was born June 25, 1924, in Mercer County, to Samual and Lela McKlintick Clutter. On March 22, 1948, he married June Hunsaker, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Tom (Kay) of Walsenburg, Colo., and Dennis of Rockford; a daughter, Linda (Rodney) Sheets, Celina; a brother, Ray (Evelyn) of Celina; two sisters, June (Mike) Cashel, Van Wert, and Jane (Jake) Baker, Fla.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a grandchild.
   He was a farmer and mule racer.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.


Terry Fowler

Terry L. Fowler, 48, 14439 state Route 66 North, St. Marys, was found dead Jan. 17, 2006, at a St. Marys residence.
   He was born April 10, 1957, in St. Marys, to Richard and Peggy Marbaugh Fowler. On Feb. 22, 1992, he married Vicki Williams, who survives.
   Also surviving are his parents, Richard and Peggy of St. Marys; three sons, Brian (Lou Ann) of Celina, Brad (Cassi) of St. Marys, and Jarret of St. Marys; a daughter, Janessa of St. Marys; three brothers, Steve (Connie Fraley), Mark (Becky) and Scott, all of St. Marys; a sister, Elaine (Doug) Cramer, St. Marys; and two grandchildren.
   He was owner of Fowler's Electronics, Celina, and was associated for many years with the family business, Fowler's TV, St. Marys. He was a 1976 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, and took numerous technical electronics courses.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.


Edward Hunsche

Edward William Hunsche, 68, 201 Buckeye St., Rockford, died at 11:53 a.m. Jan. 16, 2006, at Colonial Nursing Home.
   He was born Feb. 15, 1937, in La Porte, Ind., to Edward and Blanche Marie Boardman Hunsche.
   Survivors are a son, James of La Porte, Ind.; three daughters, Cheryl of Fort Wayne, Ind., Katherine Graves, South Bend, Ind., and Janet of Cincinnati; and a grandchild.
   Deceased are a daughter, Sandy Hunsche, and a brother, Donald Hunsche.
   He was a warehouse worker and a U.S. Navy veteran.
   Graveside services are 2 p.m. Friday at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Ind. the Rev. Connie Thomson officiating.
   Arrangements are by Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.


John Knuefner

John Knuefner, 321Ú2 North Hanover St., Minster, died the morning of Jan. 18, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   Arrangements are pending at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.


Ireta Short

Ireta V. Short, 74, of Spencerville, died at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 18, 2006, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville, following an extended illness.
   She was born July 28, 1931, in Spencerville, to William Lewis Uriah and Mary Rosella Heil Barnett, who survives in Delphos. On June 23, 1950, she married Lowell O. Short, who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, Robert (Brenda) of Cridersville; a daughter, Judy (Richard) Beebe, Spencerville; a brother, Bill Barnett, Spencerville; four sisters, Ruth (Larry) Kurtz, Spencerville, Lila (Dave) Place, Celina, and Donna Grant, Spencerville, Linda (Sam) Limbert, Sidney; and four grandchildren.
   She worked 32 years as a clerk for Lima Westinghouse Small Motor Division, retiring in 1989. She was a 1949 graduate of Spencerville High School and attended two years at Northwestern Business College, Lima. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church, Spencerville; Bowersock Brothers Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 6772; and the Spencerville Historical Society.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Oran L. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the Historical Society, Emergency Medical Services or the Invincible Fire Company, all of Spencerville.
