Michael Huff

Michael Huff, 26, 03979 Main St., Hilliard, died Jan. 28, 2006, at his residence. Cause of death is pending an autopsy.
   He was born March 2, 1979, in St. Marys.
   Survivors are his father, Robert, of St. Marys; his mother, Marjorie Wisener, Lima; a sister, Wanda (Ryan) Hoehn, Lima; and fiancee, Stacey Poling, of Hilliard.
   Deceased are grandparents, Lark and Hattie Huff and Fritz and Ruth Wisener.
   He was the owner of Vision Studio, Hilliard. He was a 1997 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, and the Recording Workshop, Chillicothe.
   Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Vince Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Edward Maurer

Edward F. Maurer, 90, 10500 state Route 274, Anna, died at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 30, 2006, at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
   He was born February 22, 1915, near Kettlersville, to Walter and Mary Roettger Maurer. On April 20, 1941, he married Elsie Johns who survives near Kettlersville.
   Also surviving are two sons, Dale (Naomi) of Anna, and Jerry (Ginny) of Kettlersville; two daughters, Judy (Dave) Wilber, of Huron, and Carol (Randy) Wentz, Kettlersville; four brothers, Arthur (Velma) of Botkins, Victor (Ginny) of New Bremen, Walter (Patsy) of Montra, and Ralph (Barbara) of Anna; four sisters, Anna Lutterbeck of Minnesota, Claire Short, Sidney, Betty Kaufman (Butch Hawkins), Bellefontaine, and Patricia Korn, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
   Deceased are three brothers, Richard, Frederick and Thomas Maurer.
   He was a dairy and grain farmer and a founding member of the Shelby County Holstein Association and a member of the Dairy Farming Improvement Association. He also was a former member of the Shelby County Democratic Central Committee and Van Buren Township School Board, served on the Shelby County Board of Education and was a lifetime member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kettlersville, where he sang in the church choir for over 50 years.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Revs. Charles Moeller and Keith Wagner officiating. Burial is Schwaberow Cemetery, Kettlersville.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and after 9:30 a.m.Thursday at the church.
   Contributions can be made to either the church memorial fund or to St. Rita's Hospice of Lima.


Ruth Pratt

Former Celina resident,M. Ruth Pratt, 85, 6109 Del Mar Drive, Port Orange, Fla., died at 5:51 p.m. Jan. 30, 2006, at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Fla.
   Services are pending at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
