Frank Arling Frank E. Arling, 70, 221 North St., Osgood, died at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14, 2006, at Mercer County Community Hospital Emergency Room, Coldwater.

Marie Forthofer
Marie Lorine Forthofer, 92, of Vandalia, died Feb. 12, 2006, at Maria Joseph Living Care Center.
She was born Aug. 25, 1913, in Mercer County, to Henry and Anna Fullenkamp Gaerke. She married Maurus E. Forthofer, who is deceased.
Survivors are a son, Richard A. (Janice), Portland, Ind.; two daughters, Sandra K. (Robert) Cardone, Greer, S.C., and Mary Sue (Michael) Higgins, Vandalia; a brother, Charles (Betty) Gaerke, Fort Recovery; four sisters, Louella Frank, St. Henry, Mary Ann Homan, Fort Recovery, Virginia (Bob) Tangeman, Maria Stein, and Marcy (Richard) Topp, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy K., Kettering; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Roger M. Forthofer and seven brothers.
She retired from Lazaruas Downtown, where she was the dining room manager. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and their Senior Citizen Group, Vandalia.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Robert Monnin officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Morton & Whestone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
