Kimberly Honigford

Kimberly Honigford, 11, 1190 Wildwood Circle, Delphos, died at 10:55 p.m Aug. 26, 2006, at Children's Medical Center, Dayton, following a sudden illness.
   She was born on Aug. 7, 1995, in Dayton, to Dennis and Mary Jane Broerman Honigford. Her father and stepmother, Dennis and Marie, survive in Delphos; and her mother survives in Fort Loramie.
   Also surviving are a brother, Aaron Honigford, Delphos; and grandparents, Jerome and Betty, Delphos; and Sylvester and Jovita Broerman, Minster.
   She attended Marimor School, Lima, where she was student of the year. She belonged to St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos.
   Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
   Contributions can be made to the school or Children's Hospital.


Eugene Howe

Eugene W. Howe, 78, 199 Walnut St., New Knoxville, died at 1:55 a.m. Aug. 28, 2006, at Wapakoneta Manor.
   He was born May 18, 1928, in Auglaize County, to Fred and Ida Katterheinrich Howe. On May 25, 1947, he married Irene Hulsmeyer, who survives.
   Also surviving are four sons, John (Kathy), Woodridge, Ill., Richard (Michaele) and Mark (Barbara), all of New Knoxville, and Keith (Mary), Gahanna; half sister, Eunice (Herman) Freckman, Cincinnati; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are two brothers, Roger and Emerson; a halfbrother, Norman Katterheinrich; and two halfsisters, Clara Meckstroth and Rachel Henschen.
   He retired from Airport Manufacturing Co., where he was a tool and die maker. He farmed, did carpentry and was a milk hauler for 12 years. He served on the New Knoxville Village Council for 12 years. He graduated in 1946 from New Knoxville High School, where he earned his state farmer's degree from FFA. He was a member of United Methodist Church, New Knoxville, where he sang in the choir.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Brian Vinson officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
   Contributions can be made to the church, New Knoxville Historical Society or St. Rita's Hospice.


Jerome Wellman

Jerome H. Wellman, 82, 6534 North 700 East, Bryant, Ind., died early morning Aug. 28, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
   He was born Dec. 1, 1923, in Jay County, to Jerome and Agnes Kreig Wellman. On Aug. 30, 1952, he married Elizabeth Braun, who survives.
   Also surviving are four sons, Steven, Chicago, David (Marjorie), Washington, D.C., Dennis (Cindy), Bryant, and Ronald (Brenda), Coldwater; two daughters, Mark (Marianne) Valentine, Portland, Max (Joanne) Vozoff, Burbank, Calif.; four brothers, Richard, Bryant, Ind., Leroy, Greenville, Eugene, Tucson, Ariz., and Jim, Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Helen Wellman and Rita Heimann, both of Decatur, and Doris Wack, Tucson, Ariz.; and 14 grandchildren.
   Deceased are six brothers and sisters.
   He was a farmer and owner and operator of Wellman Farm Drainage. He was U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Joseph Sodality, American Legion Post 211, Bryant Senior Citizens and Land Improvement Contractor Association, all of the Bryant area.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Hoying officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, Ind.
   Contributions can be made to church or the donor's choice.
