Photos by M.J. Smith. Fire destroyed The Fireside Pub and Q's Barbershop on West Monroe Street in New Bremen on Monday evening. The historic 1895 Boesel Opera House, which contained the businesses, was filled with smoke when firefighters arrive around 6:30. No one was injured. Other responding fire departments in addition the New Bremen-German Township fire department were Minster-Jackson Township, St. Marys Township, Chickasaw, St. Marys and Wapakoneta.
