A great blue heron perches on a boat dock along West Bank Road this week as fog rises from Grand Lake at dawn. Residents have welcomed the cooler evening temperatures that caused patchy ground fog several recent mornings. The high temperatures today and tomorrow are 81 and 84, according to local weather forecaster Dennis Howick.
