At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Bertha Karcher
Former St. Marys resident Bertha Karcher, 95, of Ottawa, died Jan. 24, 2007, at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville, Ky.
She was born March 3, 1911, in Ottawa, to Ernest and Adele Hornung Yaufman. On July 20, 1937, she married Charles M. Karcher, who died Nov. 28, 2003.
Survivors are a daughter, Lyn (Tom) Mattingly, Louisville; two brothers, John (Ann) Yaufman, Ottawa, and James (Mary) Yaufman, Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Julie (John) Ruen, Ottawa; a son-in-law, Lefty Lewis, Little River, S.C.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Sharon Marie Lewis; a brother, Merle Yaufman; and a sister, Helen Smith.
She was a homemaker and member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia, all of Ottawa.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, with a scripture service at 2:30 p.m. and a rosary led by the Catholic Ladies of Columbia at 7 p.m.
