Howard Myers
Coldwater native Howard O. Myers, 86, of Texas, died March 4, 2007, at a Texas nursing home.
He was born May 1, 1920, in Coldwater, to Walter and Altha Davis Myers.
Surviving are three sons; a daughter; two brothers, Roger, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Forrest, Cobbs Creek, Va.; a sister, Carmen Wallick, Pine Hurst, N.C.; and 12 grandchildren.
He retired as a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He then retired to Fort Worth, Texas, after 35 years as a radio operator on aircrafts. He was a member of the parks and recreation committee and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6008, of Hewitt, Texas.
Services were March 12 at at Waco Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Texas. Burial was at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
Calling was 6-8 p.m. March 11 at the funeral home.
