Hazel Smith
Former Celina resident Hazel R. Smith, 89, St. Lighthouse Point, Fla., died at 10 a.m. March 12, 2007, at N. Broward Medical Center, Pompano Beach, Fla., of natural causes.
She was born June 8, 1917, in Celina, to John and Elizabeth Monroe. On Oct. 7, 1939, she married Jack Smith, deceased.
Surviving are a son, James Smith, Wingo, Ky.; and a daughter, Linda Fuller, Lighthouse Point, Fla.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She retired from the former Mersman Furniture Company and a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Lightpoint, Fla.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Michael Westbay officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
