Cathy Steele
Cathy Steele, 58, 832 Greenvale Ave., St. Marys, died at 2:55 p.m. Dec. 17, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center Lima. Death was due to lung failure.
She was born April 30, 1949, in Lima, to Carl and Violet Eshelman Whited, who are deceased. On Nov. 15, 1969, she married Jerry Steele, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Brian (Marlene), St. Marys; three brothers, Bob Whited, Lincoln, Neb., George Whited, Athens, and John (Donna) Whited, Lima; four sisters, Mary (Dale) Leonard, Celina, Sally Roth and Helen Streight, of St. Marys, and Janice (Dave) Winters, St. Louis, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Jimmy Whited; and two sisters, Dorothy Braun and June Timmerman.
She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
