Snow showers associated with an arctic front are moving through this morning, providing a quick accumulation of snowfall. With wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph, the snow showers combined with blowing snow are reducing visibility and creating challenging travel conditions. These conditions are most impactful on roads that are more rural and are aligned from north to south. Even after the snow ends, elevated winds will continue to blow snow into the early afternoon.
Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana and central and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 10 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Barbara Koverman
Barbara J. Koverman, 77, of rural Spencerville, died at 7:55 p.m. March 4, 2009, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 8, 1931, in Dayton, to Jacob and Dora Corwin Zwiesler. Her parents and stepmother, Ruth Blue Zwiesler, are deceased. On June 19, 1952, she married Orville J. Koverman, who died May 19, 2008.
Surviving are six children, Kristy (Bob) Geist, Mendon, Ken (Chris) Koverman and Robin (Tony) Laman, all of St. Marys, Jeff (Chris) Koverman and Sue (Ron) Kloeppel, all of Delphos, and Dave (Jodi) Koverman, Spencerville; a sister, Norma Counts, Sidney; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Joseph "Bud" Zwiesler; and three sisters, Josephine Valentine, Janet McCullough and Dorothy Stewart.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, Spencerville. She was a 1949 graduate of Sidney High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. John Fleck officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, where a parish wake service will be held at 4 p.m.
Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Celina Manor Nursing Home.
