The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Fuerst
Richard "Dick" L. Fuerst, 54, 460 N. Main St., Minster, died at 7:35 a.m. May 14, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born March 15, 1955, in Lima, to Norbert and Betty J. Klaus Fuerst, His mother survives in Delphos. On April 29, 1975, he married Carol Wendeln, who also survives.
Other survivors are two children, Shannon (Aaron) Egbert, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Matthew Fuerst, Minster; three brothers, Gordon (Helen) Fuerst, Elida, Louis (Ann) Fuerst, Findlay, and Roger Fuerst, Delphos; three sisters, Judy (Jim) Looser, Ottoville, Connie (Mark) Buettner, Elida, and Elaine (Darren) Abram, Delphos; and father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Marie Wendeln, Minster.
Deceased are a brother, Dennis; and an infant sister, Denise.
He retired from Minster Machine Company and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
