The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

William Britton
William Britton, 78, 807 Stratford Dr., Sidney, died at 8 a.m. May 26, 2009, at the Kobacke House, Riverside Hospice, in Columbus.
He was born May 22, 1931, in Bethel Park, Pa. to George and Hazel Jackson Britton. On Dec. 31, 1955, he married Ellen Sue Yarger, who survives.
Other survivors are three children, Dave (Emilie) Britton, New Bremen, Sue (Rob) Fridley, Sidney, and Pamela Britton and her husband Francesco Guerra, Worthington; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was Vice President of Sales for the Richard Klinger Company, Sidney and was instrumental in the development of sales and marketing efforts nationally. He left the company for a short period in 1987, but returned to Klinger in 1992. He retired from Thermoseal (formally Klinger) in 1997. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the counter intelligence corp. He was a member of the Sidney Senior Swingers at Shelby Oaks Golf Club and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He volunteered with the Shelby County United Way and The Salvation Army in Sidney. He was a member of The Church of Aurora in Aurora.
Memorial Services are at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney.
Calling is 3-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. His body will be cremated before the services.
