Special Weather Statement issued January 19 at 7:13AM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Snow showers associated with an arctic front are moving through this morning, providing a quick accumulation of snowfall. With wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph, the snow showers combined with blowing snow are reducing visibility and creating challenging travel conditions. These conditions are most impactful on roads that are more rural and are aligned from north to south. Even after the snow ends, elevated winds will continue to blow snow into the early afternoon.
Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Ohio State linebacker Ross Homan, 51, comes in to make a tackle on a Wisconsin player during Saturday's game at Ohio Stadium against the Badgers. Homan, a junior from Coldwater, was selected as the conference's defensive player of the week. He had a career-high 15 tackles while adding two sacks, a pass breakup and a forced fumble to help the Buckeyes roll over Wisconsin 31-13. His two sacks pushed Wisconsin back 13 yards and nine of his 15 defensive stops were solo tackles. He surpassed his previous career high of 10 tackles, matched in two games last season.
