Thelma Schulze
Thelma Elizabeth Schulze, 80, of Rangeline Road, Russia, died at 5:10 a.m. May 19, 2010, at Versailles Health Care Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1929, in Minster, to Albert Henry and Leona Rose Bruns Seger. On Oct. 19, 1949, she married Urban F. Schulze, who died May 17, 2007.
Surviving are nine children, Rick (Cindy) Schulze, Russia, Ron (Vicki) Schulze, Fort Loramie, Ann (Don) Hulsmeyer, Botkins, Sue (Mark) Hoying, Fort Loramie, Bob (Maria) Schulze, McCartyville, Patti Monnin, Versailles, Mark (Jill) Schulze, McCartyville, Greg (Becky) Schulze, Versailles, and Laura Evers, Russia; a sibling, Martha Olberding, Minster; a sister-in-law, Norma Seger, Minster; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Betty Schulze, Versailles, Albert (Mary Lou) Schulze, Russia, Hilda Battson, Sidney, Ralph (Rita) Schulze, Russia, Gene Baltes, Tiffin, Richard Frantz, Versailles, Norma Middendorf, Fort Loramie, Luella (Ronald) Albers, Fort Loramie, and Dianne (Earl) Winner, Minster; a daughter-in-law, Louise Schulze, Troy; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Dan Schulze; a sibling, David Seger; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Helen Schulze, Vera and Jack Bemus, Jim Battson, Paul and Trudy Schulze, Mary and Lowell Magoteaux, Betty Baltes, Helen Frantz, Carl Middendorf and Ken Meyer.
She attended St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia, and was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She graduated from Minster High School in 1947. She was a volunteer for the Shelby County Right to Life and was a member of the McCartyville Card Club for 50 years. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm for 57 years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral in Fort Loramie.
Memorials can be made to the Shelby County Right to Life, Wilson Hospice Care or a charity of the donor's choice.
