Ruth Muskus
Ruth Mary Muskus, 86, of Sidney, died at 7:40 a.m. June 9, 2010, at Fair Haven Shelby County Home in Sidney.
She was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Carthagena, to William and Cecelia Schweiterman Forsthoefel. On July 7, 1945, she married Frank John Muskus, who died Aug. 23, 1992.
Surviving are two sons, Brian (Annie) Muskus, Sidney, and Barry (Debra) Muskus, Lima; four brothers, Thomas Forsthoefel, Coldwater, Kenneth (Rose) Forsthoefel, Louisville, Ky., and Herbert (Madeline) Forsthoefel and James (Clara) Forsthoefel, all of Coldwater; a sister, Joan Mescher, Celina; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Donald Forsthoefel; and a grandson.
She worked as a secretary for the Coldwater and Sidney City school systems. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney and the Shelby Oaks Ladies Golf Association.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Cromes Funeral Home in Sidney.
