Temperatures continue climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s today. This will combine with a humid airmass to produce heat indicies in the 95 to 100 degree range this afternoon.

Jill Elking
Jill Elking, 37, New Bremen, died at 5:25 p.m. Sept. 22, 2010, at her home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1973, in Sidney to Gerald and Marilyn Leugers Siegel, who survive in New Bremen. On June 6, 2008, she married Andy Elking, who survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Jerry Siegel, Minster, and Jess (Sheri) Siegel, New Bremen; maternal grandmother, Mary Leugers, Minster; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Lois Elking, New Bremen; and a brother-in-law, Greg (Stephanie) Elking, New Bremen.
She was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. She was a 1992 graduate of Minster High School and worked on the custodial staff at New Bremen Local Schools for the last 11 years.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, where a rosary will be prayed.
Memorials can be made to Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
