The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Salm
Mary Evelyn Salm, 94, Coldwater, died Feb. 26, 2011.
She was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Coldwater to Edward and Frances Schmitt Wendel. On Oct. 14, 1937, she married John Salm, who died Dec. 8, 1969.
Surviving is a son, Larry (Doris) Salm, Coldwater; a daughter, Susan (William) Alford, Covington, La.; a sister, Virginia Kraft, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Juanita Salm, Sidney; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a daughter, Barbara Post; two sisters, Dorothy Walls-Bishop and Helen Behm.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. She was a member of the church's Ladies Altar Sodality, the Sidney Senior Citizens and a former member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney and its Ladies Altar Sodality. She volunteered at Wilson Memorial Hospital and worked for Slagel Plumbing and Heating. She was a 1935 graduate of Coldwater High School and a graduate of the International Business College in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Sidney.
