Tight truck turn on Main

A semitrailer turns off Washington Street onto South Main on Monday. The Celina Police Department has issued dozens of $150 tickets to truck drivers who have failed to take the correct detour for the second phase of the Main Street reconstruction project. The detour route for trucks is state Route 219 to Coldwater to state Route 118 to state Route 29. The detour is estimated to add 10 minutes to local commute times. Lake Shore Drive will be closed today. To prevent congestion at the intersection of Sugar and Logan streets - as there are no operating traffic signals - a temporary four-way stop is going up.
