Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Elodie Sollman
Elodie M. Sollman, 96, New Bremen, died at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 18, 2011, at Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 13, 1915, in New Bremen to Joseph W. and Josephine G. Bruns Lanfersieck. On Sept. 12, 1981, she married Lendor Sollman, who died Feb. 8, 2001.
Deceased is an infant sister.
She was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen, and the Woodmen of the World Camp 149, also New Bremen. She was a 1933 graduate of New Bremen High School and worked in several offices such as New Bremen Rubber Company, New Bremen Broom Company and Bremco Mills. She retired from First National Bank of New Bremen after 35 years service.
She was a member of New Bremen Senior Citizens where she and her husband organized and lead a number of group tours.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church at which time the Rosary will be prayed.
Memorials may be directed to the New Bremen Emergency Squad or to the donor's choice.
Gilbert-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, is handling arrangements.
