Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

Carl Wappelhorst
Carl Richard Wappelhorst, 90, Coldwater, died Jan. 9, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born June 8, 1921, in St. Henry, to Joseph and Emma Daniel Wappelhorst. On Jan. 24, 1948, he married Anna Burden,who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are five children, Gary (Sherry) Wappelhorst, Fort Recovery, James (Linda) Wappelhorst, Alpena, Mich., Ernest Wappelhorst, Rome, Italy, Linda (Jim) Hawkins, Celina, and Rita Barr, Chicago; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are eight siblings, Albert, Bernard, Edward and Ralph Wappelhorst, Matilda Kunk, Frances Droesch, Mary Schuh, and Dorothy Ellis; and two grandchildren.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and Coldwater Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
He retired from New Idea, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
