Helen VanTilburg
Helen Marie VanTilburg, 86, Celina, died at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Oct. 14, 1925, in Hopewell Township to Lawrence and Esther Viereck Schaadt. On Nov. 14, 1944, she married Harold VanTilburg, who died April 14, 2009.
Surviving are children, James (Brenda) VanTilburg, Celina, Mark (Anna) VanTilburg, Crestwood, Ky., and Janet (Gary) Morrison, Celina; a sister-in-law, Martha Schaadt, Celina; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is brother, Paul Schaadt.
She was a 1943 graduate of Rockford High School and was co-founder of VanTilburg Farms, Celina. She was a homemaker and had worked at Remaklus Store, Celina, in the 1970s. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, WELCA and the women's group at the church.
Service is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.
