At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Norval Weitz
Norval P. Weitz, 86, Celina, died at 7:40 a.m. Feb. 5, 2012, at his residence.
He was born March 8, 1925, in Mercer County to Gust and Mabel Brehm Weitz. On Jan. 26, 1963, he married June E. Keel, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ron (Mary Anna) Weitz, Albuquerque, N.M., and Jack (Paula) Weitz, Celina; five daughters, Gloria (Jack) Clouse, Celina, Janet (George) Parker, Piqua, Pat (Reg) Reiger, St. Marys, Wendy (Brad) Kelley, Mendon, and Michelle "Shelly" Hines, Celina; 20 grandchildren and several great- and great-great grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer and Mercer County deputy sheriff. He also worked at the Lima State Hospital.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Township, and Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jonathan Exman officiating. Burial follows at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Community Health Professionals.
