Leo Streacker
Former Maria Stein resident Leo N. Streacker, 92, Englewood, died Feb. 28, 2012, at Englewood Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1920, to Henry and Agnes Fullenkamp Streacker. On Oct. 11, 1944, he married Salome Hemmelgarn, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Pat (Jack) Schaefer, Englewood; three siblings, Nettie Schlater, Sidney, Mary Phlipot, New Bremen, and Rosie Seitz, Coldwater; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Bernie Keller and Johnny Marbaugh.
A long-time Maria Stein farmer, he was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. He was a past president of Knights of St. John.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Englewood.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the Englewood church, the Rev. Ken Baker officiating. Graveside service is 2 p.m. Monday at the Maria Stein church.
Calling is 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood, where prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
