Construction is under way on the new Aldi grocery store at 2001 Havemann Road. The previous store was demolished after it was severely damaged by a tornado on April 19, 2011. A grand opening hopefully will be held in June, store officials previously stated. The store will be a little larger than the former store. The grocery continues to operate at a temporary site at 905 E. Wayne St.
