M. Donald Winkeljohn
M. Donald Winkeljohn, 89, Celina, died at 4:25 p.m. April 29, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born May 20, 1922, in Celina to Harry J. and Edna Hartings Winkeljohn. On June 22, 1946, he married Vera Wimmers, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, David (Cindy) Winkeljohn, Flowermound, Texas, Neal (Gini) Winkeljohn, Fostoria, Chris Winkeljohn, Cincinnati, and Judy (Doug) Hole, Rockford; three sisters, Mary Ellen Winkeljohn, Phoenix, Ariz., Rita Poindexter, Cottonwood, Ariz., and Dorothy Winkeljohn, Phoenix; two sisters-in-law, Delores Wimmers, St. Henry, and Edna Wimmers, Dayton; two brothers-in-law, Richard Widmaier, Phoenix; John Cron, Celina; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, James Winkeljohn; four siblings, Mark Winkeljohn, Sr. Rose Ann Winkeljohn, Jane Widmaier and Martha Winkeljohn.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School and retired from Celina Insurance Group after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at a later date in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
