Katherine Ringle
Former Celina resident Katherine Ringle, 91, of Cridersville, died at 1:14 p.m. May 17, 2012, at Otterbein Cridersville Nursing Home.
She was born June 11, 1920, in Norfolk, Va., to Charles King and Mary Elizabeth Messik Phillips. On June 18, 1948, she married Frederick G. Ringle, who died Dec. 18, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Fay (James) Gepfrey of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Sheila (David) Hogg of Destrehan, La.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She and her husband formerly owned Ringle Plating Co. in Celina. She worked as an executive secretary at the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, Va., during World War II. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Shawnee Country Club.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Service, Shawnee Chapel, the Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. today and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
