Patricia Dawson
Patricia Ann "Patsy" Dawson, 74, Celina, died at 12:15 a.m. May 30, 2012, at Celina Manor.
She was born July 5, 1937, in Sand Fork, W.Va., to Glenn and Lenita Spicer Garrett. On Dec. 19, 1959, she married William C. "Bill" Dawson, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christi (Paul) Salchak, Waynesville, and Cherie (Tom) Smith, Celina; six grandchildren; a sister, Melba (Max) Marks, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Louella (Richard) Kocielko, Elkhart, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Sue Ellen Coughlin.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sand Fort High School and received her degree in elementary education from Glenville State College in 1959. She taught two years at Emerson School in Parkersburg and then taught at Celina East Elementary School from 1961 to 1991.
She attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina, and volunteered with the American Red Cross and the Appalachian Service Project.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Jeff Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
