Cody Wehnes
Cody Wehnes, 18, Fort Recovery, died Aug. 27, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, of injuries sustained in auto accident on Aug. 26 in Mercer County.
He was born March 21, 1994, in Coldwater, to Jerry Wehnes and Theresa (Steinbrunner) Wycuff.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Theresa and John Wycuff, Fort Recovery; his father, Jerry Wehnes, of Rockford; two brothers, Joseph Steinbrunner, Fort Recovery, and Alex Wehnes, Fort Recovery; a sister, Emma Wehnes, Rockford; two stepbrothers, John Wycuff Jr., and Jared Wycuff, both of Coldwater; one stepsister, Jessica Wycuff, Coldwater; maternal grandparents, Walter and Karen Steinbrunner, West Union; and stepgrandmother, Hazel Wycuff, Coldwater.
Deceased are his paternal grandmother, Darlene Castlen, and paternal grandfather, Jerry Wehnes Sr.
He was a junior at Fort Recovery High School, where he participated in football.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, the Rev. Les Schmidt officiating.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
