* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following county, in west central Ohio, Mercer.
* WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1253 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Tama and Neptune.

Calvin Slattery
Calvin L. Slattery, 83, New Bremen, died at 2:38 p.m. Sept. 13, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Wapakoneta, to Eugene and Lillia Weifenbach Slattery. On July 10, 1953, he married Esther M. Fogt, who died March 22, 2001.
Surviving are two daughters Kay (David) Shapiro, Cullowhee, N.C., and Kim (Dave) Dougherty, Cincinnati; two sisters Gereldine Metzger, St. Marys, and Imogene Mox, Delphos; and four grandchildren.
Also deceased are four siblings Dana and Byron Slattery, Mary Jane Scheufler, and Althea Ruedebusch.
He graduated from Blume High School, Wapakoneta, in 1947, and was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen. He also was a member of the F&A Masonic Lodge, St. Marys, the Scottish Rite, Dayton, and American Legion Post 241, New Bremen. He served with U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers, building bridges during the Korean War. He retired from Minster Machine Co., where he had worked as a cost accountant.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the church memorial fund or charity of the donor's choice.
