Matilda Meinerding
Matilda "Tillie" Meinerding, 97, St. Henry, died Sept. 24, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1915, in New Weston, to John and Mary Hemmelgarn Guggenbiller. On Feb. 19, 1955, she married Wilbur Meinerding, who died Dec. 19, 1986.
Surviving are a sister, Loretta Sprague, Bay Village; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Jean Guggenbiller, both of Cleveland.
Also deceased are six siblings, Joseph, Norbert, Charles, Albert, Leo and Clara Guggenbiller.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Sodality. She had served as a companion to the Wasmer family of Lakewood.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
