Robert Carson
Robert J. Carson, 71, St. Marys, died at 9:13 p.m. Oct. 7, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Celina, to Robert M. and Ruth A. Makley Carson.
Surviving are a son, John (Tammy) Carson, Richmond, Va.; five sisters, Shari (Ron) Hinman, Phoenix, Ariz., Dottie (Bob) Stoffer, Shiloh, Connie Nagel, St. Marys, Mary "Tish" Weinberg, Marengo, and Dolly Carson, Minster; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School in 1959 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Omni Manufacturing Co., St. Marys, and had also worked construction as a member of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Private rites for the family will be held.
