Diane Otting
Diane M. Otting, 57, Maria Stein, died Feb. 28, 2013, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. She had been ill for 24 days.
She was born May 21, 1955, in Coldwater, to Harold and Delores Mescher Quinter Schwieterman, who survives in Maria Stein. On Oct. 12, 1973, she married Robert Otting, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Robb (Gail) Otting, Minster, Bruce (Amy) Otting, St. Henry, and Stephanie (Andy) Eilerman, Fort Loramie; a sister, Deb (John "Otis") Albers, New Bremen; two stepsisters, Sandy Stutzenstein, Toledo, and Laura (Kevin) Griesdorn, Maria Stein; three stepbrothers, Bob "Buster" (Linda) Schwieterman, Chickasaw, Jeff (Marcia) Schwieterman, St. Rose, and Kurt Schwieterman, Lima; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are her stepfather, Roger Schwieterman, and a grandson, Connor Otting.
She was a 1973 graduate of Marion Local High School and worked at Abloom Flowers, New Bremen, as a floral designer.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and the Ladies Sodality of the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
