At 646 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Van Wert to near Monroe, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Lightning can cause serious injury or death. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Rockford, Mendon, Chattanooga, and Tama.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.
When thunder roars, go indoors! Do not stay in the open or seek shelter under trees when lightning threatens.

Jack Kuck
Jack D. Kuck, 83, New Knoxville, died at 10:40 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Lima, to Harvey and Meta (Kuck) Kuck. He married Jean Feight on July 14, 1956, and she survives at the residence.
Also surviving are two sons, Matthew Kuck (and Janice Dutton), Wapakoneta, and Mike Kuck, New Knoxville; four grandchildren, Mark Kuck, Christopher Kuck, Natalie Arn and Stewart Kuck; and five great-grandchildren.
He was a 1949 graduate of New Knoxville High School and attended The Ohio State University. While in high school he played on the 1947 state runner-up New Knoxville basketball team, and to this day he holds many state high school basketball records. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was the retired owner of Kuck's IGA Grocery in New Knoxville. He also drove a school bus for many years for New Knoxville School.
He enjoyed watching sports and going camping with his family. He was a member of American Legion Post 444 in New Knoxville and the First United Church of Christ, also in New Knoxville.
Funeral rites will 1 p.m. Thursday at the First United Church of Christ, the Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Ministry Center of the First United Church of Christ.
Memorial gifts may be given to the New Knoxville Athletic Association.
