* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Alfreda Rose
Alfreda E. Rose, 98, St. Henry, died Dec. 4, 2013, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born July 23, 1915, in Burkettsville, to Henry and Agnes Reier Siefring. On Oct. 16, l937, she married Ralph A. Rose, who died March 4, l999.
Surviving are six children, Thelma (Dennis) Brackman, Centerville, Wilma (Bob) Edmondson, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Dorothy (Gary) Aho, Golden, Colo., Betty (Dennis) Kugler, Laura, Dennis (Sally) Rose, Fairfield, and Linda (Gary) Stelzer, Coldwater; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Lucille Kramer, Celina, Esther Evers-Wuebker, Burkettsville, Mary Liette, Burkettsville, Mildred Mendenhall, Coldwater, Eulalia Zumberger, Anna, Jeannette (Paul) Lennartz, St. Marys, and Virginia (Robert) Schaefer, St. Anthony; in-laws, Romilda Siefring, St. Henry, and Irene Siefring, New Weston.
A daughter, Marjorie Rethman, Yorkshire, preceded her in death two weeks ago and Rethman's husband, Leonard, survives in Yorkshire.
Also deceased are four brothers, Aloys Siefring, Cyril Siefring, Herbert Siefring and Elmer Siefring; a sister, Florentine Siefring; sisters-in-law, Hilda Siefring and Rita Siefring; brothers-in-law, Leon Kramer, Walter Evers, Victor Wuebker, Hubert Liette, Ronald Mendenhall and John Zumberger. She also was preceded in death by Rose in-laws, Aloysius Rose, Justina Rose, Henry Rose, Roman and Marie Rose, Clara and Henry Dorsten, Julie and Pauline Rose, Joe and Marie Brinkman, Ida and Ferd Brockman, Bernard and Grace Rose, and Leander, Elenora and Sevella Rose. The only surviving Rose in-law is Patricia Rose of Indiana.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She baby-sat, gardened, worked for St. Henry Schools and local canning factories and was an accomplished quilt-maker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Calling is 1-5 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
