Bernice Rehmert
Bernice Rehmert, 74, Union City, passed away Feb. 26, 2014, at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Ind.
She was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Himyar, Ky., to the late Everett and Lucy Gray Garland Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years, Paul L. Rehmert; four children, Ronald P. (Sandy L. Cook) Rehmert, Union City, Cheryl D. (Roger G.) Wenning, Fort Recovery, Curtis L. (Melissa A. Nottingham) Rehmert, Union City, and Brian S. (Carrie J. Webb) Rehmert, Greenville; grandchildren, Brandon P. and Shelby L. Rehmert, Jason G. Wenning, Megan M. (Greg) Snyder, Lauren D. (Chris) Galdeen, Kinsey E. Wenning, Ryan C. Rehmert, Joshua L. Rehmert and Gavin S. Rehmert; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin E. and Abigail M. Snyder; siblings; J.T. (Denise) Garland, Pittsburg, Ohio, William (Annette) Garland, Pine Island, Fla., and Jean (Ronald) Murphy, Everett (Arlene) Garland Jr. and Douglas Garland, all of Greenville; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased are her parents.
She was the bookkeeper and sales associate for Suzuki of Greenville, from which she retired in 2010. She also was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Greenville, Elks BPOE #1534 of Union City and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Reichard Funeral Home, Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, Ind., the Rev. Jon Keller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cancer Association of Darke County with envelopes available at the funeral home.
