George Dicke
George T. Dicke, 65, Wapakoneta, died March 4, 2014, at 3:05 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
He was born Oct. 2, 1948, in Celina, to Willis and Helen Holtz-haurer Dicke. In 1975, he married Debra Bovee, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Also surviving are three wonderful children of whom he is proud, Brian, Michelle and Angela; his adopted daughter, Felecia (Andy) Bacon; his adopted stepchildren, Sissy, Lisa and Michael; siblings, Bill Dicke, Connie (Chuck) Applegate, Mary (Ed) Mueller, Cynthia (Jack) Cool, Nick (Ginny) Dicke, John (Kathy) Dicke, Curt (Miho) Dicke, Darby (Amy) Dicke, Nancy (Ron) Bohman, Juliann (Steve) Winner and Tricia (Doug) Hoying; and in-laws, Diane Jennkins, Michael Bovee and Tom Bovee.
He was a member of the New Life Apostolic Church, Celina, where he was an Elder and had taught Sunday School for a number of years. He loved and was very knowledgeable about the Word of God. He was a skilled craftsman and was always willing to help others. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed his registered Jersey dairy herd.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Life Apostolic Church in Celina, the Rev. Simon Young officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at New Life Apostolic Church.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
