Susan Collingsworth
Susan "Sue" Collingsworth, 71, St. Marys, died 11:05 p.m. Aug 22, 2014, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born June 10, 1943, in Garrett, Indiana, to Leroy Sr. and Martha Daughtery Lower. On April 24, 1971, she married Fred Collingsworth, who survives in St. Marys.
Also surviving are three children, Glenda (John Proutey) Garrison, Lexington, Ky., Fred Collingsworth Jr., St. Marys, and Jeff (Amanda) Collingsworth, Sidney; five grandchildren, Brayden, Parker, Cooper, Carter and Coleman Collingsworth; and two siblings, Joy (Paul) Gehle, Rockford, and Linda Stamm, Haine City, Fla.
Deceased are six siblings, Charles Lower, Leroy Lower Jr., Edward Lower, Nancy Lower, Earl Lower and Roslyn Freeman.
Sue retired from the Copeland Corporation in Sidney. She was a member of the First Church of God in St. Marys. She was a very social person who loved spending time with her family and her many friends.
Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, West Chapel, St. Marys, the Revs. Phil Miller and Mark Foor officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
