Fire chief's last call

Rockford fire and police department personnel on Friday morning carry the casket of Fire Chief Ralph Rhoades as he is given a final salute by the Mercer County Firefighter's Color Guard squad and other area emergency response personnel at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina. Rhoades, 86, was a village firefighter for more than 63 years and served as chief for 38 of those years.
