* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity combined with very warm low temperatures can be especially hazardous as the overnight hours provide little relief from the heat. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Vernon Warner
Vernon C. Warner, 89, St. Marys, died at 3:46 a.m. March 5, 2015, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1925, in Sandusky, the son of Vernette and Thelma (Meyer) Warner, who are deceased. He married Ruth M. Fink on June 24, 1956, and she survives at the residence.
Also surviving are his two sons, Jonathan (Patricia) Warner, Kenton, and Jeffrey Warner, Berkeley, Calif.; two grandsons, James Warner and Daniel Warner, both of Kenton; a sister, Ruth Warner Miller, Sandusky; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Fink, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and two sisters-in-law, Rema McDonald, Stillwater, Minn., and Dorothy Grohoske, Findlay.
Also deceased are two sisters, Audrey Jean Krueger and Carol Mix Manner.
Vernon was a 1943 graduate of Sandusky High School. He served in the U.S. Navy after high school and graduated from Ohio University in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He had a long career at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys, where he was a mechanical engineer. He enjoyed woodworking and was a licensed pilot with his own plane.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. He was a 61-year member of Mercer Lodge 121, Free and Accepted Masons, and had served as Worshipful Master. He also belonged to Royal Arch Masons Council 57, St. Marys Council 81 and Sidney Commandry 46.
Funeral rites are 4 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church, where a Masonic Rite Service will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
