Fort prehistoric artifacts exhibit draws enthusiasts
FORT RECOVERY - One day in 1963, an 8-year-old boy was chasing a seed sack across his family's farm field in Indiana when he stumbled upon an artifact.
CELINA - Local law-enforcement officials are concerned about the effects of Gov. John Kasich's new statewide standards for police agencies.
Kasich signed an executive order Thursday creating a panel to set standards for all law-enforcement departments in areas such as training and use of force.
CELINA - Residents will have a chance to see the clean- up efforts of the Grand Lake watershed.
The Lake Improvement Association is offering a tour of the watershed including a local farm exhibiting best-management practices regarding manure.
COLUMBUS - Daily Standard staff writer Amy Kronenberger's 2014 series of articles exploring the controversies surrounding the Common Core educational standards was honored Sunday at the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors newspaper competition.
