Alan L. Jacobs, age 56 of Rockford, Ohio passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday May 9, 2015 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.

He was born on Feb. 28, 1959 in Celina, Ohio to the late Arthur J. & Sonia N. (Clark) Jacobs.

Survivors include his Son & daughter-in-law Eric & Gina Jacobs of Celina, Stephanie Jacobs & Aaron Stith of Celina, Julie Jacobs of Montezuma, two grandchildren Chase Jacobs and Leah Stith, First Wife Darcy (Hassan) Homan of Celina, Second wife Ruth (Stose) Jacobs of Montezuma, brother & sister-in-law James A. & Sue Jacobs of Coldwater, sisters & brothers-in-law Deb & Don Gross of Coldwater, Teresa & Jeff Griswold of Celina, Tammy & Carl Truesdale of Celina, Mary & Darrel Conkel of Celina and numerous Nieces & Nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Sparks.

Alan graduated from Coldwater High School with the Class of 1977. He was formerly employed at Crown in Celina.

He was a member of the Celina V.F.W. Post 5713 and a Trustee at the V.F.W. Post. He was a member of the Possum Lodge and the Mercer County Sportsmen Association.

Alan will always be remembered as the card shark and an avid outdoorsman with his fishing and his Hunting. He enjoyed throwing Horseshoes and camping.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 1 hour before services on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
