Kathy Ward
Kathy L. Ward, 66, of St. Marys, OH died 3:09 p.m. Tuesday August 18, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH.
She was born December 5, 1948 in Celina, OH to Harold and Betty (Goodwin) Dunlap, Sr. On December 17, 1966, she married Dennis G. Ward, who died April 22, 2012.
Survivors include: daughter Tammy (George) Myers of Wapakoneta, OH; daughter Lorna (Howie) Glover of Cridersville, OH; son Dennis (Kathy Roberts) Ward, Jr. of Spencerville, OH; daughter Bettie (David) Hess, Sr. of St. Marys, OH; son Douglas (Wendy) Ward of St. Marys, OH; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother James "Dubber" (Sandy) Dunlap of St. Marys, OH; sister Valerie (Danny) Salisbury, Sr. of St. Marys, OH; sister Anita (Ron) Savage of St. Marys, OH; sister-in-law Nancy Dunlap of St. Celina, OH; dear family friend Wanda Carpenter of St. Marys, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Harold and Betty Dunlap, Sr.; husband Dennis Ward, Sr.; granddaughter Delanie Ward; brother Harold "Pete" Dunlap, Jr.; brother Ronald Dunlap; brother Dennis "Mike" Dunlap; sister Jane Winters; sister Sandy Kugler; infant brother Stevie Dunlap.
She had been employed at the former Scranton's Market in Celina, J & S Electronics in St. Marys and Certified East Gas Station in St. Marys.
She was member of VFW Post #9289 and Eagles Lodge Aerie #767 auxiliaries, both in St. Marys. Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo and socializing with family and friends.
Rites are scheduled to begin 1:00 p.m. Monday August 24, 2015 at Miller – Long & Folk Funeral Home (314 W. High Street Chapel) in St. Marys, with Tom Powell, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday and 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home on High Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with final expenses.
