Richard Moeller
Richard "Dick" Moeller, 65, of Rockford, Ohio, died unexpectedly at his home early on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
He was born August 23, 1950, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Louis and Mary Catherine (Feltz) Moeller. On May 12, 1984, he married Rosalie Mathewson, and she survives in Rockford.
Dick was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a die setter and worked for the former Huffy's Manufacturing in Celina, and then at the former VP Building in Van Wert, Ohio. He retired from American Trim in Wapakoneta.
Coming from Coldwater, Ohio, he had made his home in Rockford since 1988, where he was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.
Dick was also a blacksmith, which was his true passion. He loved creating metal pieces for his family and friends including bakers racks, shepherd's hooks, and steel roses. He enjoyed teaching his craft and spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren. He was also a fisherman who loved fishing with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Rosalie, are three children: Dan (Amy) Moeller of Rockford, Melissa Moeller, also of Rockford, and Jackie (Jason) Musser, New Bremen, Ohio. Seven brothers survive: Robert (Lisa) Moeller, Chickasaw, Ohio; Rodger (Nancy) Moeller, Celina, Ohio; Ralph (Susan) Moeller, Rockford, Ohio; Ron (Dawn) Moeller, Huber Heights, Ohio; Randy (Shelley) Moeller, Wapakoneta, Ohio, Raymond (Lynn) Moeller, Mendon, Ohio; and Rodney (Rebecca) Moeller, Washington, Indiana. Two sisters also survive: Nancy (Roger) Isaac, Batesburg, South Carolina, and Conita (Brad) Oaks, St. Marys, Ohio. Dick adored his six wonderful grandchildren: Stephanie, Baily, Dylan, Natalie, Elayna, and Evan.
Deceased is one infant sister, Victoria.
