Lois Shirk
Lois Ann Shirk age 90 of Minster, Ohio died at 4:10 PM on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at her home.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1925, in Paulding, OH to the late Clair Wesley & Lucy Evelyn (Conine) Houghton. She married Owen Keefer Shirk on July 21, 1946 in Fostoria, OH. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by children Linda & Smiley O'Reilly, Minster, Kyle & Linda Shirk, Indian Lake & Karen & Michael Fairchild, Piqua, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and sister-in-law Marie Houghton, Wooster, OH.
She was preceded in death by a brother Robert Houghton & sister Betty Miller.
She was a graduate of Maumee Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Toledo, OH in October of 1946. She was a nursing Assistant at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster and a housewife. She was the Queen of the OH-IRIS Chapter of the Red Hats.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Highland Cemetery, West Liberty, OH.
The family requests donation be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
