Crews on Tuesday morning install a sidewalk along the north side of the Mercer County Courthouse. The work had not not been included in an ongoing project to improve handicap accessibility but officials decided to replace the aging sidewalk and install conduit in preparation for future street lights. The additional estimated cost of $6,000 will be paid through an allowance built into the bid for the work.
